Mike's natural talent, years of experience, VW Factory School Training and passion for automobiles have made him an industry icon. Mike's passion for cars has also shown him success in motor sports including winning the La Rana Desert Racing overall championship in 1993. Whether its high performance engine building or keeping the grocery getter running like a top, Mike is your guy.
Frank Williams | Lead Technician
Frank and Mike go way back. Before starting Mikes Foreign Car together in 1978 they worked together for Volkswagen as factory trained technicians. Frank is an accredited VW Master Technician and prides himself on his attention to detail. Frank's 38 years as an industry top technician has earned him numerous credits including, ASE Certified Master Technician, VW Master Technician, ASE, Advanced Engine Performance Certified, Mobile Air Conditioned Certified, etc. The list goes on and on. Frank is meticulous, clean and thorough to a fault. His knack for diagnosing and solving the complicated problems is beyond impressive. He cares for every car he works on as if it were his own.
Nyla Stickle | Office Manager
Nyla is the cheerful face that greets our friends and clients. She's more than an office manager, She's wife to Mike, Mother to Josh and friend to all. Since 1986 she has worked hard to make our clients feel comfortable and welcome. Since the first day she stepped in, she's done whatever it takes to get the job done.
Josh Stickle | Service Manager
Long time customers recall Josh as a kid playing in the grease around the shop and sweeping floors for lunch money. Josh absorbed more than grease and oil in those years, he also soaked up the passion and knowledge that has been the foundation of Mike's success. Josh's desire to carry on the proud tradition of exceptional customer satisfaction comes through in everything he does. Josh is clearly committed to keeping Mike's Foreign Car the best German car repair facility in Orange County. In addition to Josh's love and knowledge of classic VW's he knows that technology is the future and works hard to stay abreast of the latest diagnostic tools and techniques.
Matt Baxter - Technician
Matt is the most recent addition to Mike's, joining the team in October of 2009. His positive, go to attitude makes him a great fit here. Matt moved to California in 2003 from Pennsylvania, which is where he was raised. He has a degree in automotive repair from Automotive Training Center in Pennsylvania. He has ten years in the automotive industry as a Technician for Volkswagen Inc. He attained Expert Technician status through Volkswagen's training program and has the skills, knowledge and tools to fix your vehicle right the first time. The training he received from Volkswagen gave him the ability to be a great Technician!
